I began experiencing songs stuck in my head constantly after my hormones went south in my late forties. At its worst, the noise was so “loud,” with sometimes multiple songs playing in turns, that I couldn’t hear my own thoughts, couldn’t concentrate on anything, especially work. For one entire year, I never had one minute of quiet, day or night. Even my dreams were filled with the crazy jukebox from hell and would wake me up in a panic.
I thought I was alone until I wrote a couple of posts on my general Health and Hormones blog. Now, there are over two dozen of us who have found each other, sharing experiences, offering help and comfort, and trying our best to figure out what causes this and how to fix it.
We are not content to accept the usual answers. We don’t want to take powerful drugs with equally problematic side effects if we don’t have to.
We welcome you here and hope that one day our combined efforts will find the elegant answers we seek.

Hi, My name is Tamara and for the last two years I have been having music stuck in my head as well. I also have been having many unusual, debilitating symptoms which the doctors have no clue as to what to diagnose me with. I have songs that I`ve recently heard playing, I have random songs, and I also have it that if I think of something I can connect a song with it ie think of words and song lyrics match up with them. All blood work has come back `normal` I am unable to sleep at all without medication, have muscle twitches, vibrating feelings inside and my muscles are shaking from never getting a rest from a very fine contraction all over. Any insights anyone would have to share would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
